A youth leader who has been carrying out a series of charity activities in Bokoli Ward, Bungoma County held a party for a needy boy who scored 408 marks in the recently-announced KCPE results.
Mr. Edward Omumaraki, together with his team, visited Sawa village at the home of Mr. Barasa whose son Anstas Wekesa performed impressively to emerge the best in Bungoma County.
Wekesa, who was schooling at Maloho Primary School Bokoli Ward, Webuye West Constituency, could not hide his joy after Mr. Edward delivered a customized cake to celebrate his awesome results.
“I am so happy for this humble gesture, I knew I would pass the exams but didn’t expect all these miracles,” said the Friends School Kamusinga-hopeful.
Mr. Eddy, who takes matters education seriously in his activities, congratulated the boy for the job well done. He shared a cake and gave him a shopping voucher to use when he joins his respective Form 1.
Wekesa’s father, who is a bodaboda rider, thanked the team and urged the County Government to consider giving his son a scholarship bursary to enable him pursue his studies.
Mr. Eddie has been visiting schools and donating sanitary pads to girls and providing mentorship programmes to students and the youth across Bokoli Ward.
