If there’s any town that should win an award for being the busiest in hosting big events this year, then let it be Kakamega please! True-False?
As the County hosts today’s Mashujaa Day celebrations, it’s incontestable to say that Kakamega is arguably one of the fastest growing devolved units across the country and also the most popular for the past one year. It will be the second time the national fete is being held outside the traditional Nairobi City after taking place in Machakos County last year.
Fellow young Kenyan from Kakamega, if you know you have been paid to come to Bukhungu Stadium tomorrow to disrupt #MashujaaDay2018 celebrations by H.E. @UKenyatta by way of heckling people, please just avoid the area. You won't like it. Thank me later

The block, which comprises of 14 counties drawn from Nyanza, Western and part of Rift Vallley regions, is chaired by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and seeks to strengthen economic muscles among the member counties..

Kakamega County is located in Western part of Kenya and boasts of amazing tourist attraction magnets most notably the Kakamega Forest in Shinyalu Constituency, the only equatorial forest in the region.
Her town is known for organized traffic discipline even during the busy hosting days and has been used as a marking scheme for other neighbouring counties.
