The much awaited Champions league quarter finals will take centre stage today with fascinating fixtures lined up.
Tottenham welcome City
London based Spurs will welcome defending Premier League Champions Manchester City in their new White Hart Lane Stadium.
The two are set to play each other thrice in the next eleven days, although this will be the first meeting in European Competition.
Spurs opened their new stadium White Hart Lane with a composed 2-0 win against Crystal Palace but they will be up against a formidable City, who have beaten them in three straight meetings.
Consistence performance and good results in the European competition by Spurs has enabled them squeeze through the group stage as they looked solid in the previous round of 16 against Dortmund.
On the other hand,Manchester City, destroyed shalke 04 in the previous round, winning both legs (10-2 aggregate) and they remain unbeaten away from home in the UEFA matches.
Eric Lamela will be an ideal loss to pochetinho’s side, as Spurs seek to secure a win in tonights match. S. Aurier and Erick Dier might also fail to get a chance due to injuries.
On the other hand of City, Claudio Bravo, the all time second goalkeeper will not appear in tonight’s game similar with Fabian Deph and Zinchenko who are out on injuries.

Liverpool Welcome Porto
Last year’s finalist Liverpool who are unbeaten in 14 games across all competitions will be hosting a side they beat 5-0 on aggregate in last season’s champions League knockout stage.
FC Porto is the only Portuguese team which has been left in the european competition through a mere strive after knocking out Italian side As Roma in the round of 16 and they can be a burden to Liverpool.
