Residents of Sirisia constituency in Bungoma County have applauded Sirisia politician Moses Nandalwe for winning the Community Champion Award.
Mr. Nandalwe was among other Western leaders who were awarded in Vihiga County last week on Friday.
The prizes were given by the County Gala Awards (CGA), a business and marketing company.
Nandalwe, commonly known as Mr Money bags, runs the Nandalwe Foundation that has been doing a lot of charitable works in the constituency.
The foundation has an ambulance that helps ferry sick and expectant mothers to hospitals.
The foundation has also dug bore holes, paid fees for needy and bright students among doing other charitable things in the area.
Residents from the three wards of Sirisia took to social media platforms to heep congratulatory messages to the flamboyant politician.

‘What Nandalwe has been doing to uplift the lives of the residents is more than what the area MP John Waluke is doing with the cdf cash’,
CGA chief executive Khalid Njiraini said the company undertook a public satisfaction survey on Uongozi na Ugatuzi” in Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia, Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties to establish the extent to which leaders worked to trigger a citizen-centred development agenda.
The survey was conducted between January 1 and February 30.
The survey ranked Kakamega the best county in managing health services. Bungoma was voted best in infrastructural development.
Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula was named the best senator.
MPs Ayub Savula (Lugari) , Mwambu Mabonga (Bumula) , Alfred Agoi (Sabatia), Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini) and Sakwa Bunyasi (Nambale) were the best MPs in Kakamega, Bungoma , Sabatia, Trans Nzoia and Busia counties, respectively.
All those feted for good performance are eyeing higher seats in 2022.
John Wasike from Bitobo area said that they were proud that one of their own had also been feted.
‘The award appropriately reflects the endless efforts and hours you have wholeheartedly spent to ensure that you change the lives of Sirisia residents’, he said.
He said that Nandalwe being a youth had shown a good example to the young who majority should emulate his stand in bettering lives of the poor.
Dan Wasike from Lwandanyi ward said that Nandalwe has proved that he can be a good legislature who will be voted in come 2022.
The politician known for dishing out money to his supporters vied for the Sirisia MP seat on an ODM party ticket in 2017 polls but was defeated by incumbent Waluke of Jubilee.
Nandalwe has pledged to give Waluke five million to help in his campaigns should he make true his bid of contesting for gubernatorial seat.
Speaking to this publication phone on Wednesday Nandalwe, welcomed the award saying that it will inspire him to keep on serving Sirisia residents who have been neglected by previous regimes since independence through his Nandalwe foundation.
