Relief to a Kakamega Family as Hospital Finally Releases Son’s Body for Burial

There was relief in Nyayo Tea Zone in Lurambi Constituency, Kakamega County after a hospital that was holding their son’s body over a huge medical bill finally released the body.

Reale Hospital in Eldoret had vowed not to release the late Vincent Kubili’s (pictured, file) remains until the family settles the Ksh2,304,365.

According to the family, the NHIF was only able to settle Ksh203,000, rendering the family helpless to raise the remaining cash.

However, the details of the agreement between the area MP and the hospital have not yet been established to this publication.
