Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has mourned the death of legendary Ohangla musician Lady Maureen, who passed away on Saturday morning.
Popularly known as Lady Maureen, the singer, whose real name is Maureen Ochieng, passed on at around 3 am on Saturday morning at her home in Uriri, Migori county.
Taking to his social media account, Raila Odinga described the late as an “immensely talented and very dynamic musician” in the competitive industry.
“My condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of Lady Maureen. Achieng’ was immensely talented and very dynamic; always adapting to new trends in a very competitive music industry. May she Rest In Eternal Peace” Odinga said.

The musician had been discharged from Pastor Machage Memorial Hospital in Migori and was recovering at home, after battling a long illness.
Some of her famous songs include Jogi Jokuoge, Alemo, Gor Kogallo, Raila, among others.
