Prof Mang’oli Laid to Rest in Strict COVID-19 Gear in Bungoma

The late University of Nairobi lecturer Prof Maurice Mang’oli (67) has been buried at his Namuyemba estate home in the outskirts of Bungoma town.

The deceased succumbed to the global pandemic COVID-19 which is ravaging the world.

 

Family members, relatives, University of Nairobi officials, the community and political leaders mourned the academician as a kind and development oriented person.

The burial was conducted by Bungoma county health officials donning the Personal Protective Gears to stop them from contracting Coronavirus.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula and Woman Rep Catherine Wambilianga were among high profile leaders who joined the family in sending off the departed.

The mass was led by father John Ogola of Kanduyi Catholic Church.

Professor Mang’oli becomes the second engineer in Bungoma to succumb to the pandemic which has so far claimed more than 150 deaths in the country.
