President Uhuru Kenyatta Condoles Death of Nelson Mandela’s Daughter

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday sent a message of condolence to President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Mandela family, and the People of the Republic of South Africa, following the death of Amb. Zindziswa Mandela, who is the daughter of liberation icon Nelson Mandela.

Sending out his condolences, the President wished the Mandela family God’s comfort as they mourn their departed kin.

Zindzi Mandela’s death in a hospital in Johannesburg was confirmed on Monday by the spokesman of the ruling African National Congress (ANC). Until her demise, 59-year-old Zinzi was serving as South Africa’s ambassador to Denmark, died in a hospital in Johannesburg. It did not say why she had died.

“This is untimely. She still had a role to play in the transformation of our own society and a bigger role to play even in the African National Congress,” said ANC spokesman Pule Mabe.
