Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga on Tuesday launched a three-classroom block in attempts to improve learning in the constituency.
Speaking at St. Elizabeth Wacholi Primary School in West Bukusu during the launch, the Jubilee MP pledged to dedicate his service delivery to the people of Bumula, among them, education.
“One of my manifesto was to improve the standards of education in Bumula Constituency and we cannot do that when our children are learning under pathetic classrooms,” he told the gathering that included teachers, pupils and parents.
The project was started late last year and it’s completion comes barely a month after the first-time legislator opened four other classrooms at Napara ACK Primary.
Mabonga also took the opportunity to warn the residents against falling to propaganda by selfish leaders who have no interest of development at hearts.
“If they come here, ask them what they have done for you so far before you listen to them.”
