Pangani Girls Shine as Education CS Matiang’i Releases KCSE Results

Naomi Kamau Kawira from Pangani Girls is the top student in the just released KCSE Results today.

Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i announced Ms Kawira as the top student with 87 points followed by Sharon Chepchumba from Moi Girls Eldoret and Brian Maina from Alliance High School. 

In a highly anticipated event held at Nairobi School, Dr Matiang’i announced that the student who scored straight As improved by just one compared to the 141 As scored last year.

However, those who scored an A- reduced significantly from 4,646 attained last year to 2,714 for this year.

Dr Matiang’i also said girls performed better than boys this year.

Apart from producing the top student countrywide, Pangani Girls also emerged the most improved school and also produce two other top students in the list of the top 10 across the country.
