A new platform where cryptoctocurrency companies can launch their Initial Coin Offering has now been made available.

All future events on cryptoctocurrencies, ICO, news updates and chat forums can now be availed on Token Map.

All one has to do is to sign up to the portal http://www.tokenmap.net and create a project, either an event, an ICO launch or a news update for the respective company.

According to Token Map C.E.O Ms Upendo.Wambua, the platform will provide cryptoctocurrency investors and followers a chance to keep in touch with what is happening in the world of blockchains.

“Token Map is a place where one can participate in forum, read news on crypto and where any related stuffs are shared,” Wambua  clarifies to this writer.

Nurucoin cryptoctocurrency has already been listed on the portal as among the recently launched ICO’s.

In an interview with Wakajuaness.Com, Ms Wambua says that “the portal is open to all companies that want to run an ICO”.

An Initial Coin Offering, also commonly referred to as an ICO, is a fundraising mechanism in which new projects sell their underlying crypto tokens in exchange for bitcoin and ether. It’s somewhat similar to an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in which investors purchase shares of a company.

ICOs are a relatively new phenomenon but have quickly become a dominant topic of discussion within the blockchain community.

Many view ICO projects as unregulated securities that allow founders to raise certain amount of capital, while others argue it is an innovation in the traditional venture-funding model.

Though we have such portals including Coin Telegraph, ICO List and Topicolist where ICOs are listed, Token Maps is the first of its kind in Africa.

The platform is build and owned by Laurel Gems Ltd, a Nairobi-based firm specialised in technology matters.

Once the a user has signed up and keyed in the project, the admin of the portal immediately approves the project and publishes it.

Apart from Token Map, the portal also has a sister news platform http://news.tokenmap.net that covers all the news on all the blockchains from around the world.
