The newly announced Fantasy Premier League (FPL) rules and revealed player prices are giving headache to the over 7 million managers ahead of the new English Premier League (EPL) 2020-2021 season, starting on 12th September 2020.

Unlike in the previous season where the game week deadline was an hour before kick-off of the first fixture, next season’s deadline has been moved to one and a half hours before kick-off, in a move that is aimed to curb cheating where some managers depended on leaked lineups.

Normally, the team’s lineups are released an hour before the kick-off, same to what was the FPL game week deadline. However, with the new move, cheats will be reduced as deadline will be half an hour before they are released. This will also pose a challenge to those of you who have a habit of failing to meet the deadline.

Another tough but excellent tactic the FPL has gone for is to overprice the most popular players, meaning that managers will now have to master an art in balancing their team by depending on low-budget differential players, which will have an impact on the overall performance.
