Miss Tourism Bungoma to Donate School Uniforms to Nalondo CBM in #NoDisInMyAbility Campaign

The reigning Miss Tourism Bungoma will in September donate free school uniforms to children living with physical challenges.

Ms Joyce Nasambu, through her Joyce Nasambu Foundation, will lead the campaign at Nalondo CBM Primary School in Bungoma County on September 13, 2019.

Dubbed #NoDisInMyAbility, the campaign seeks to motivate the young children living with physical challenges to embrace education.

“We indent to give uniforms to all children living with disabilities in Bungoma County,” says Ms Nasambu in a telephone interview with Wakajuaness.

“We want to motivate all children living with disabilities to be in school and discover their full potential in life,” added the 23-year old who is also the reigning Miss Tourism People’s choice.

Ms Nasanbu has also called on well wishers to support her initiative by buying a T-shirt at Sh1,500. The T-shirts can be acquired through her phone number +254717242465/.

Joyce, who turned 23 in May this year started her modeling journey back in 2015 as a fresher at Chuka University. 

She was crowned the Miss Fresher Chuka University the same year then Miss ChukaUniversity before ending up as Miss Tourism Bungoma for 2017/2018.

As a model, she has been involved in various charity activities including Jigger Campaign in Sitikho Ward in Bungoma County and visiting the disabled including the Nalondo School for the Disabled where she donated various goods to the young kids while still holding the Miss Environment Bungoma crown.

She has also held a series of charities at the Bungoma Women’s Prison and St Anthony’s School for the deaf.
