Patients across Western Kenya have narrated how a newly-equipped hospital in the region is the best for endoscopy services.
In an assorted responses to this writer, patients cited good hospitality, professionalism and commitment from the medical staff as reasons why Lifecare Hospital Bungoma is their favorite facility for the services.
Endoscopy is a procedure that enables the examiner to examine the
esophagus, stomach, duodenum etc, using a thin, flexible tube called the
endoscope with a camera on the tip through which the lining of the gastrointestinal tract can be viewed using a TV monitor.
Mr. Maurice Obot, 59, said since he visited the Bliss Healthcare in Busia County, his situation has greatly improved.
‘The endoscopy service was very good and a couple of tablets have improved my condition as I wait for full recovery,” said the Busia County resident.
Mr. Obot says he knew Lifecare Hospital after he heard an announcement about their conjunction with Bliss Healthcare in Busia to offer health services to the residents of Busia.
Rose Wanaswa, 42, says she was happy with the process at Lifecare. The Webuye-based resident credited her operation to “specialized medical staff and keen medical observation on my heath before offering appropriate treatment which I am recovering well from.”
However, she mentioned the challenge of her medical insurer which had been listed elsewhere and so she had to use her personal cash to foot her bill.
Enters Rachael Naliaka from Musikoma in Kanuyi Constituency. Being her first time for the process, the 29 year old says it was very nervous as expected from a human being but the guidance and encouragement from the doctors sailed her through.
“It was a bit scary but the endoscopy services at Lifecare were amazing and it’s a place I can refer my friends and family due to their unique services including standard hygene,” she boasted.
Apart from offering endoscopy services, Lifecare Hospital Bungoma also conducts gastrointestinal (G.I) clinic every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm by Dr.Lugaria.
