They had turned up on Friday for the launch of Mumbo FM’s Salaams Club at Chebuyusi Friends Church, Kakamega County, in an event that was characterised by glamour and joy of meeting their favourite radio presenters.
However, that joy was boosted further when the more than six hundred fans were treated to a free medical camp by medical specialists from LifeCare Hospital Bungoma.
The residents took advantage to test for blood pressure and get free medical consultation from the doctors.
The hospital’s sales executive Mercy Obare told West FM’s Dalmas Sakali that the camp revealed alarming cases of low and high blood pressure.
“We have tested many case of low and high blood pressure but it’s a manageable situation,” she said.
The residents thanked West Media Ltd for organising such an important event.

Mumbo FM is a vernacular sister station to West FM and West TV owned by West Media Limited in Bungoma. It’s the biggest media station in Western Kenya and most popular in Western Kenya having enjoyed the business for over a decade now.
The company normally organise fans parties across the Counties in the region.
Bringing LifeCare Hospital on board was seen as a move to not only entertain their fans but also care for the health being of their listeners.

The hospital, which the Google maps female voice estimates to be 700 metres from the under-construction Kanduyi-Musikoma Dual Carriageway also offers services in CT scan, dialysis, MRI, mother-child healthcare as well as specialised ICU.
