The football fraternity is mourning the sudden passing away of ardent supporter and philanthropist Eunice Wamalwa Lumonya.

The late Eunice, who hails from Kimilili in Bungoma County reportedly died in ICU after the vehicle she was traveling in was involved in a tragic accident near Limuru on Friday.

According to her close friends, the charity event organizer and supporter of young talents was heading to Nairobi to attend a stakeholders meeting to raise funds for a sports programme in Western Kenya.

We have received devastating news of the passing of our dear friend and supporter Eunice Lumonya with utmost shock and pain.

Her special passion for arts and sports has seen her go extra miles to ensure she supports initiatives and individuals who are working towards creating an enabling environment for Talents development especially at the grassroots. Eunice has been one of our top supporters, contributors and Friend of Magharibi Michezo Awards since 2014.

She has passionately supported our Initiatives both  financially and through her wide networks that have supported our efforts towards sports development  in the region.

It is indeed more painful as we were expecting her to attend one of our stakeholders meeting in Nairobi that plans to raise resources, set the agenda & chat a way forward on how we can expand our development impact and reach in the Magharibi Region.

On behalf of the entire MMA team and Friends of Magharibi Michezo Awards, we send our condolences to family and friends following this untimely loss of a young, kind, humorous, very hard-working and energetic life.

May Her Soul Rest In Peace. We have indeed lost a Gem – The Magharibi Michezo Awards Team,” wrote Dennis Machio, the founding executive of Magharibi .Michezo Awards in a letter send to this site. (See story on Magharibi Michezo Awards below this page).

In what now looks like a premonition to her death, Eunice had written about death two weeks ago and here it is.

YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO CAREFUL

When I hear people tell others to be careful or do this n that so that they can live long,I just smile ,because I believe you can never be too careful in this life ,you can never be too beautiful ,too young ,too rich, too safe ,too healthy, too Christian ,too organized or even to old to die. We live by God’s Grace! When death decides to pick you ,it will pick you ,from wherever at whatever time,if you have survived an accident ,an attack or an illness don’t ever think you were too good or too careful ,it’s was n will always be the Grace of God !
