A huge number of fans and supporters have joined the Smile Karavani for end-year’s charity event at Kanduyi Children’s Home in Bungoma County.
The caravan is dubbed ‘smile karavan’ to show solidarity with the less fortunate children that live at the institution.
Kanduyi Children’s Home has a population of close to three hundred children, most of them total orphans.
Smile Karavani is a charity programme aimed at supporting children’s home. The charity event takes place every end-year and is organised by Status Communication, a branding firm founded by graphic designer Kruss Mabonga.
According to Mabonga, many supporters are showing up to support the initiative and has urged more organisations and well wishers to remember these less fortunate kids in their programs.
“So far, many co-operate societies and business entities have given us their support and we are privileged for this kind of gesture.” Kruss told Wakajuaness.Com.
The event starts on Sunday 31st in the morning.
Activities will include children’s games, singing, dance competitions, bouncing castles and inspirational talks from public figures including footballer Antony ‘Baggio’ and KTN’s actor and comedian Mshamba.
As a way of raising funds to support the children, the organisers have printed Smile Karavan T-shirts which are going at Ksh 1,000 and can be acquired from Flash Brands headquarters Opposite National Bank in Bungoma town.
Well wishers can also provide clothes, drinks and vouchers.
The Smile Karavani is supported by Status Communication, Khetias Supermarket, Tv Magharibi, Flash Brands, Michezo Africa, MC Opash, Mani Africa Ltd and yours sincerely Wakajuaness.Com.
