The long awaited ruling following an appeal by St.Mary’s Kibabii high school over St.Peter’s Mumias fielding ineligible players in the Western Region Secondary School finals will be made today.

This comes two weeks after the grand finale which took place in a fully packed Sudi stadium, where St.Peter’s Mumias pulled a comeback to win 2-1.

Kibabii however appealed against the champions on the grounds of fielding Ineligible players in the competition, violating the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) constitution.

The ruling will be made from the Western Secondary Schools Association regional headquarters in Kakamega. Both parties will be assembling at 9A.M.

This year’s under 19 football boy’s regional finals is a replica of last years under 16 finals where Kibabii won 1-0 but that was later reverted by the court after an appeal by St.Peter’s Mumias.
