Kagumori-based football club 3K is inviting football stakeholders for its second mega funds drive in bid to procure a bus for the team.
3K Fc, which is awaiting to play in the division II League, were crowned champions of Embu County League for three consecutive seasons to become the first
ever club to secure unbeaten record and acquire a direct ticket for Division II.
The team is now seeking a bus which will help in curbing transport challenges faced especially when travelling to play away matches.
So dire are the transport challenges that they halted their efforts to take part in Division II last season.
Other issues faced include lack of enough capital to cater for accommodation expenses and player’s needs.
The clubs is requesting all sports stakeholders and well wishers to support the team in an event that will be held on 19th December, 2020 at Slopes Villa Embu, .
According to a directive given by the clubs treasurer Tony Tek, one can send their contributions via Mpesa Pay Bill 618630 and Account name 3KFC.
There’s a growing hope from players and fans whose target is for the club to scale to higher levels like NSL, FKF Premier league and support talents by making 3K FC a great team that will create job opportunities to the youths and become a sports hub.
Wakajuaness.Com understands that the club is targeting to raise a total of Ksh 1M which will boost the amount raised in the first funds drive and it will be adequate to purchase the bus.
“With our own bus, it’s easy for us to travel and take part in fixtures, especially in our quest to take part in major and exciting leagues in our country such as National Super League and the Kenya Premier League,” said team captain Moses Munene who added that they have gained experience having played with a number of teams now.
“We have played against famous teams like Tusker Wazee, Nkubu in Meru County, Mseal in Murang’a County we have gone to Kisumu, Nyeri, and Nairobi among other counties and we usually record impressive results. If well equipped with the required facilities our players will achieve their dreams through football,” he added.
Currently, there is not even a single team in Embu County that is playing in Division I League due to lack of facilities. Triumph FC took part in the Division II in the 2018/19 season but were relegated after they failed to honour away matches.
3K FC are enjoying a good form of late with good performances from the players which has popular the name of the club across the lower Eastern region and many corners of the country. bid to procure a bus for the team.
