Ebwali shocks St.Peter’s, Maliki and Emanani triumph as Western Region Secondary School ball games enter day 2

Vihiga county Champions Ebwali Secondary school shocked Kakamega County champions St.Peter’s Mumias with a 1-0 defeat in a match played this morning at Bungoma High School.

The only goal of the match came in the second half .The result leaves St. Peter’s Mumias in a tricky situation as they must fight hard to ensure they collect maximum points in their next two fixtures.

In the other group B match, Bungoma county finalists Maliki secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Mabunge ,finishing the match with 10 players after one of them was red carded. Maliki now tops the group with 3 points,tied with Ebwali but with a goal advantage.

Only two teams from each group qualify for semifinals.

Emanani Secondary school recorded a 1-0 victory over Bugina and they will need a win against Kibabii in their next match to confirm their slot in the last four.
