DSTV’s 36Hr-Watch Challenge Goes Viral as Kenyans on Twitter Embrace New Charges

Kenyans on Twitter (#KOT) made fun of the DSTV’s watch challenge after parent company MultiChoice announced a slash of prices across all the DStv packages which became effective from 1st of September 2019.

MultiChoice made the announcement eleven days ago but Kenyan were keen on enjoying the new fruits that started today.

In a challenge dubbed #EveryoneIsWatching, Kenyans on Twitter celebrated the new charges while making fun of the watch challenge.

With the new prices, both the new and existing customers will have their subscriptions at lower rates than the current ones.


Customers on DStv Compact will pay 2,500 shillings from the current 3,200 shillings while those currently on DStv Family will part with 1,200 shillings from the current 1,900 shillings.

Customers on DStv Access will pay 900 shillings from 950 shillings, those on Premium+Asia Addon to pay 8,800 shillings from 9,200 shillings while those on Premium+French Addon will pay 11,100 shillings from 11,500 shillings.
