DP William Ruto Mourns Death of Lugari MP Ayub Savula’s Father

Deputy President William Ruto on Monday took to his Twitter account to join in mourning the death of Arthur Angatia, who is father to Lugari Member of Parliament Ayub Savula, who is also the ANC deputy party leader.

Ruto described him as a distinguished leader, a devoted advocate for peace, and a promoter of mutual co-existence, who also strived for harmony in the society.

“We are saddened by the passing on of Arthur Angatia, father to Lugari MP Ayub Savula. He was a distinguished leader, a devoted advocate for peace, and promoter of mutual coexistence who always strived for harmony in the society” he said, adding that the late will be remembered for his vision and fresh ideas.

“Mzee Angatia will be remembered for his vision and fresh ideas that transformed lives within the community. Our prayers to the family, relatives, friends, and the people of Lugari. Rest In Peace” Ruto mourned.

The late succumbed to illness on Saturday, May 30 while receiving treatment. This comes one year after the MP also lost his daughter, Joan Chiri Atugah in December 2018.
