Citizen TV’s Actor Papa Shirandula Passes on, Family Confirms

The family of Citizen TV renowned actor Papa Shirandula has confirmed to the media that the rumours surrounding his unfortunate demise are true.

In a post by The Nation, the late died in Nairobi but details surrounding his death have not yet been given.

Shirandula’s family confirmed the news and disclosed that heĀ died at the Karen Hospital where he was receiving treatment since Monday, July 13.

“They have not given us the details. We are waiting for the hospital’s report but he was just unwell,” Alice Atamba, Bukeko’s sister-in-law toldĀ Kenyans.co.ke.

The 58 year-old is survived by his wife Beatrice Ebbie Andega, and three children; Tony, Charlie and Wendy.

Born in humble family background in Buhalarire, Kakamega, Papa Shirandula, whose real name is Charles Bukeko, has experienced ups and downs ro rise to stardom.

The actor, in various interviews, has narrated how he struggled to the top to an extend of landing lucrative endorsement deals with big brands among then Coca Cola, GoTV as well as Vodafone.

Before his death, Papa Shirandula has been acting on a comedy tv programme bearing similar name on Citizen TV.
