Premier League Champions Chelsea FC will face Arsenal in The EFL Cup ( League Cup), currently known as the Carabao Cup.
This is after the blues eliminated Bournemouth FC 2-1 at the Stamford Bridge in the knockout stages.
Willian had put the hosts ahead in the 13th minute after a brilliant set-up from Fabrigas but the visitors equalised in the 91st minute when Dan Gosling curled the ball into the top corner before being carded for weird celebration.
However, Chelsea muted Bournemouth party with a press on the remote when the restart allowed Eden Hazard to run into the exited defence before backheeling for Alvaro Morata who tapped in just after 40 second from the Bournemouth equaliser.
Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United had to bow out of the tournament after his heavy squad was eliminated by a Bristol City with a 2-1 win at stoppage time.
It was the first time since 1980 that Manchester United were losing against Bristol city at Ashton Gate Stadium.
Chelsea will now meet Arsenal who beat Westham 1-0 on Tuesday in the up-coming semis with the high-flying Manchester City ready for Bristol.
The two legged-matches will be played in January next year.
