Belgium international Mitchy Batshuayi started his life in Bundesliga in style after scoring a brace and a fine assist on his debut on Friday against FC Koln.
Batshuayi started the match and his first goal came in the 35th minute finishing a beautiful assist from Pulisic. Koln equalized in the 60th minute through Zoller before Batshuayi restored Dortmund’s lead in the 62nd minute.
Their lead was cut short by Mere who equalized again for koln in the 70th minute.
The game looked to end in a draw before Mitchy Batshuayi produced another fine assist to former Chelsea player Andre Schurrle whose goal gave Dortmund a 3-2 win, sending them to second with 34 points, 16 behind leaders Bayern Munchen.
Batshuayi was loaned out to Dortmund on the January transfer window in a deal which saw Pierre Emerick Aubumeyang join Arsenal and Olivier Giroud join Chelsea on a permanent deal.
The Belgian’s performance must have Chelsea scratching their heads especially after fielding a squad with no striker, losing 3-0 at home to minors Bournemouth on the same night they loaned Bati to Dortmund.
