Two Members of the County Assembly of Bungoma drawn from Ford Kenya Party have refuted reports painting them as masterminds of the plot to ouster Maeni Ward MCA Florence Fulana from the post of Majority Leader.
The two, Mr Luke Opwora and Fred Musebe ( both nominated), instead pointed fingers at Maraka MCA Ali Majani and Khalaba Ward MCA Majimbo Okumu as the writers behind the document.
According to Mr Musebe, they were just fixed to sign the document they had not even read, reason why they are being accused to have staged the ouster.
Mr Opwora claimed that the ODM party was behind the ouster to distract the assembly but affirmed that the Ford Kenya wing shall not allow it.
“We know that Majimbo’s ODM is behind this but we shall not allow it,” said Mr. Opwora as quoted by a local news outlet.
The duo affirmed their committment to Ford Kenya party and dismissed the marriage between Ford Kenya and ODM as ‘dead and buried’ after NASA coalition ejected FK party leader Moses Wetangula from the Senate Minority seat.
The two however, apologised to the party for being misled by the senior leaders in the Assembly.
MCAs had earlier this week presented signstures to Assembly Speaker Emmanuel Situma to have Ms Fulana replaced.
