Bungoma Superstars FC which trades its football in the Division I League, has landed a new shirt sponsor.
Silk Sports Lounge is now the first ever entity to sponsor Bungoma Superstars since being established close two decades ago.
Silk Sports Club is a newly launched entertainment joint on Moi Avenue-Bungoma (formerly GF). Silk Lounge, which was launched on this year’s Valentine’s day, has taken the town by storm while supporting local artists and music bands at their facility.
It’s Director Steve “Sonko” Kaiser is understood to be a great fan of local talent.
The shirt sponsorship, whose terms are yet to be made public by either side of the partners, comes as sweet music to fans, players and management who have been struggling with finances.
The Bungoma-based community club is currently 4th on the table with 15 points, 3 behind leaders Mara Sugar despite straining to honour both home and away matches.
We picked a 1-2 win away at Zoo Youth this afternoon. What a sweet victory for Bungoma Superstars despite the two red cards. Well done boys.
