The third year student of Maths and Physics became the first beauty pageant in Bungoma County to step on the runway as reigning Miss Environment Bungoma and leave the same runway as the new Miss Tourism Bungoma.
She attributed her victory to prayer, hard work and flexibility to learn new things in life.
“I thanks God for this crown. Am so humbled. It was a product of hard work and willingness to learn new things even from my fellow pageants who taught me a lot in the academy.” Said the emotional radio and TV presenter at a media house in Meru County.

The Webuye West resident, who is also the founder of Okoa Bungoma Foundation, becomes the second Miss Tourism Bungoma after dethroning Miss Velma Kipchumba from Mt Elgon who won the first edition back in 2014.
There were three judges on the bench and who were looking at one’s brilliance, flexibility on the runway and the report from the academy.
“We were not only looking at beauty but the general brilliance and eloquence coupled with an excellent report from the academy.” Mr Wesonga explained to Wakajuanes.Com when reached for comments on what the bench was basing on.
The contestants had stayed at the academy for a week.
The County Government had not held any other beauty competition since then.
Earlier on, the First Lady of Bungoma County, H.E Mama Carolyne Wangamati stole the show when she opened the runway in a gorgeous dark-blue dinner rob and red pair of shoes that sent the audience into wild celebrations.
Mama Carolyne (pictured above) is the Patron for Miss Tourism Bungoma. Also in attendance was the Governor H.E Wycliffe Wangamati, Kimilili MP Hon Didimus Barasa and former Sirisia Constituency legislative aspirant and C.E.O of Nandalwe Foundation Hon. Moses Nandalwe.
The Governor and the First Lady promised to support the youths of Bungoma in various capacities.
Miss Nasambu will now represent Bungoma County in the National competition in quest to win the prestigious Miss Tourism Kenya.
